Good day!

I'm still searching for a second run-around and have a budget of £10k. I'm undecided, play it safe with a new Bravo or buy a used Alfa GT for some fun and frolics?

Anyway, my question is, the Bravo, what gains will a remap give the 1.4 TJET and the 1.9 DIESEL, the models I'm looking at are the 150 Sports?

I've looked on Angel Tuning but can't find any stats.

mmm, if I'm in ur position, get a 05 Alfa GT 1.9mjet, it is a much cooler car IMO, same engine as the Bravo and in couple years time, you might get more money for it when it comes to re-sell.
 
In answer to your question for the 1.9 150 mjet. Those that are having remaps are finding that there initial bhp is higher than 150 (closer to the 160 mark) and a remap is giving in the region of 200 bhp + a fistful increase in torque. These gains should also be similar in the GT

There are heaps of posts discussing the topic of gains plus some with 0-60 40-90 youtube downloads and a torrent of arguments:D

Yeah, I love the Alfa, the shape, the interior, but trying to find a sound used one (within my budget) is causing me problems, they are usually high mileage and poorly maintained, I think they are generally company cars. Also, a guy who tried to interest me in his 05 75000 miler gave me a list of work it had done during his ownership and believe me it was frightening, loads and loads of reciepts, a car that age just shouldn't have had so many things replaced! This is swinging me toward a pre-registed Bravo, at least I'll know where it's been..............................

Really, i just type in autotrader, 10k GBP and milage below 40k its shown 47 cars and 28 of them is diesel, there are even the 3.2 version in this price range!!! who need remap???:devil:

Dont use Celtic or Angel they dont have a clue. They just get premade maps with no before and after rolling roads runs. Go down to red dot if you want it remapped it will be £200 and you get before and after rolling roads to prove gains :) Tjet mapped will be around 180/190bhp and an Mjet will be 200ish i think.

You needed it on the same rolling road on the same day in standard form to see what it was putting out then though and then back on the same RR to see what it is putting out mapped so even getting a RR now wont tell you how muvch bhp you have gained.

Not worried about standard bhp .........

just the current bhp.....
