Technical Brake pad wear indicator

Just a quick one, does the brake pad wear indicator illuminate the warning light when its open or closed circuit. My pads are fine but the light flickers constantly when it wet outside, never see it if its dry.

Not sure if the current pads are even wired up as can't see any wires in that area!!

find wires on pad's trace wires up to there connector's. unplug and squirt in
some Wd40, if its a flicker, it might just be water ingress,

Thank crap for that. Proper panic when that started flickering.
Felt no problems with the brakes and no loss of fluid. If all it is is a sensor then at least I can get home.

I would guess at closed circuit, my wear indicator cables are chopped off!

Will a bit of copper grease when I change the pads next do? Thinking that it should stop water getting in.
