When I have my iPod plugged in and I first start the car, the tuner comes on at 35 (loud), then the iPod kicks in quietly. I have to set the stereo to 35 just to listen to my iPod. Is there a way to adjust source volume?

Is the volume turned right up on your ipod? If not make sure its set up to near maximum.

The same goes for phones. the volume on any device connected to the blue&me system affects the speaker volume.

This should only apply to aux connections as USB To 30 pin will take raw feed and radio amp will amplify, unless B&me treats all signals on amplification basis !!

Where does "Bose" come into the topic ?

The Bose is the 'more expensive version' of the interscope of the Euro cars. The OPs 500 is the North Amercian model.

B&me does not come into the issue. The iPod connects through the USB port. Once connected, the iPod says something like "accessory" on it and the volume can't be adjusted.

Aren't B&M & Bose mutually exclusive?

It would be great if you could post some photos of the Bose setup (sub & headunit at least) and your thoughts of it's audio abilities.
