Blue & Me: no media found

I got the error two times in one month now and I don't know what would be the cause of it... But I can listen to my sings when I shuffle it.

When I use the media player, I go to maps or artists,... then B&M keeps telling "no media found". Most of the time, I just choose an artist to listen to my music. But a few days ago, I switched back to shuffle, then yesterday I tried to choose an artist, but since then I have the error 'no media found'. I only can listen to my music when I choose to shuffle the songs.

When I format the USB-stick on my pc, then move the songs back, everything works fine, but probably again for just a few weeks...

that ist still a known Blue&Me bug.
The way it works for me is:
-Have an extra USB-Stick with 1 or 2 mp3-tracks on it
-plug this one in your slot
Mediaplayer will now generate a new database.
unplug this sb stick and put your usb-stick back on, Mediaplayer is going to generate new database and you can browse your files again.

this is so far the fastest way of getting your mp3 back,instead of fussing around with your PC/formatting/renaming etc.

This happened to me also. I was using my mobile phone, and the music played fine when not plugged in to Blue & Me. In the end I bought a USB stick (one of the recommended ones) A sandisk cruzer i think. It works fine now. Try using a new stick

Boys n Girls, has any one found that like me, this happens more and more frequently with say less than 50mb free on the disk (2gig). Maybe it uses the USB to store its database, or temp files or something?

Feels like the nearer to full past having the 50mb free i go, the more and more it wont make a library.

Usually i now keep this amount of free space, or i carry an old usb stick, with a single track on, and carry out the swap procedure.

That makes sense it has to store the library somewhere

i wonder how long it takes to build the library on a 16GB memory stick

because it never says it's finished ,i have to push the tel on the steering whell and go to media , folders and then i can see the folders

but some are missing, when the library is completed does the system says something , can it takes more than 5 minutes ?

Hi - my USB on the media player has never worked since i've had the car for about a month - how do i know if the thing needs replacing, and how long does it take to do?

this has been happening to me, but the best way to cure it is unplug the usb.

Then disconect the battery (negative) with the handy clamp

I think thats why Fiat put a no tool clamp on because they new it would be needed LOL!

yo ive got this problem and have had for many months.. been to fiat a total of 3 times now.. 1st n 2nd they just rebooted but today they checked my ipods with other cars and =it worked and tried everyone elses ipods and it worked fine. they looked around for about half hour and all they could say was that it 'could' be my software for my ipod... and that i could book it in AGAIN (for about the 5th time...) and they said that there might be some software on the blue n me websites... anoyone know any links for software updates..

FIXED!!! has taken many months and 3 trips to fiat and my ipod finally works.. and yes... i sorted it myself... (obviously... as if a fiat tech could do a job right.. HA).. then again fiat did actually reboot my sysem and update the languages (maybe that helped a lil but who knows..) all i did was format my ipod and deleted everything and put it all back. went onto artists on the menu, waited 5 mins for the to playlist to build up.. and SORTED!

so basically... try formatting your device...




(spose i should actually give more credit to fiat seeing as they came up with the conclusion of possible ipod software problems..) have to say incase they read this.. and if they are... "YOU DIDNT FIX MY CLIMATE CONTROL TODAY!!! YOU LIAR! GOING TO MAIDSTONE NEXT TIME!!!!!!" RAWR

I have the exact same problem with my USB stick. It's been working perfectly since I bought the car but recently is has been doing this "No media found" thing when I try to browse folders/artists/albums or playlists. I can only play songs randomly.

I tried formatting the USB stick and then adding the songs again but this only cured it for a short period of time. I have also tried disconnecting the negative battery terminal for 20minutes or so to reset the system. Again this fixed it for a short period of time but it came back.

It's been to Fiat and all they could tell me was that this happens a lot and apparently Fiat Technical say that this is how it works. I told him that it's been working ok for months and this is only a recent thing, he said he'll look into it further.

For all the Fiat's & Alfa's ive seen doing the same thing i have been onto either fiat.com or alfa.com and downloaded the italian lang file and install that, then back to the site and get the english lang file and install that and for 90% of the B&M problems i have encountered it fixes.

Failing that then its time for a new convergence unit!
