Technical Blaupunkt 250 CD SB05 radio has power but no sound.

Hi all,

I am new to this so please forgive me if my etiquette is not quite right.

We bought a Fiat Ducato campervan conversion a couple of months ago and the Blaupunkt radio has never worked. It powers up and the display responds to pressing the buttons, but there is no sound - totally silent, not even crackling. We have done the battery test to see if power is going to the speakers, which it is. We are more than happy to buy another radio, but I am a complete novice with this technical stuff. All the radios that I look at only have 2 spaces on the back to plug in the wiring looms, whereas ours has 3. So I am a little unsure of what to buy to replace it with.

Any help or advice will be very gratefully received.

Hello,

Assuming the 2008 is the chassis production year, you've got the x250 (the VIN should start with ZFA250x). It will easily take each 2DIN radio with an ISO - FIAT cable adapter + appropriate plastic cover. For example an android based device with navigation etc.

Have you tested both radio (AM and FM) and CD?

The battery test was made on the radio side of the wiring? or by the speakers? If by the speakers, perhaps the wiring is bad. I'd check the connections.

But yes, the amplifier can be damaged.
