Off Topic Beware: jedgley17 on eBay

Many a mickle makes a muckle, an a' that! (onemanmade will understand...!) :D

Seriously, we know of £60 and £90 just on here. How many times has Greg Davies (jedgley17) done this? Greg Davies (jedgley17) could be raking in thousands, if Greg Davies (jedgley17) has loads of different eBay and PayPal accounts; lots of different email addresses... -- for goodness sake, he's even stooped so low as to do this with his girlfriend's name and eBay account: although, we only have his word that Greg Davies (jedgley17) has any friends at all; and she could be totally complicit, of course.

For any confused non Scots its an old wise saying in Scotland that means "many a small amount adds up to a large amount"

It's a wide range term which usually (but not always) applys to finances :)

An Albanian guy I know told me of this saying they have over there..

"Man who takes money then lies must sleep always with one eye open"

Makes a lot of sense to me (y)

Is he classed as a trader? he certainly seems to have lots of different parts for sale? It would be horrible if any malicious person narked him to HMRC.

An Eye for an Eye in my opinion!

Ebay traders are already firmly in their sights - and quite right too if I may say so!! (y) Trading - there are many indicators (well 9 "badges of trade" iirc) - you can prove it quite easily if you have a mind to do so!

Ah yes, the good old grassline - I don't think that was the official title, but it's a decent working title..... ;)

Like I expect many others, I have been following this in the sidelines, hoping that jedgley17 would either accept a mistake and issue refunds, or provide a proper explanation.

Unless that happens I'd suggest next steps are police (it is theft if he has received the money) and small claims action (through money claim online). I'd be happy to help with the latter, and to be honest would be happy to pay the £40 issue fee to see justice served. No-one likes to see friends on the Forum being ripped off - we're a close-knit bunch, and it's rogue sellers who get others on ebay a bad name.
jedgley17, it's up to you to resolve this.

Phew! Just spent a good hour+ reading through all of this.

Really good work lads!

It's great to see a tight-nit community, I want a Panda now :p

As a fellow breaker/ eBayer myself... it makes no sense to go down this route. I generally break Alfa Romeo 156's and if people have ANY issues then I will refund them as soon as I can see all the facts.

Infact, just over a month a go I sold an "Infotainment" centre out of a facelift 156. On arrival he said that the item had several lines down the screen. I rang him and he agreed over the phone to produce me two photos. This obviously took him time as he had to fit two units, but sure enough within 24 hours he sent me two photos - one was his original which was barely displaying any pixels, and the other was the unit I sent out which featured lines down the screen. Once I could see clearly, I issued a full refund and told him to bin the item to avoid the hassle of returning faulty goods.

Sometimes, when you have (like I had) up to 100 items to list on eBay, mistakes happen and faulty goods go out. Part of the customer experience is to resolve issues - not just take money..

I would suggest strongly to Greg to just front up and pay the money back. You have been rumbled on about 5 different counts so just give up the constant bull. I'm starting to smell it from over here in the midlands...

This is interesting, in the past jedgley17 has left 3 positive feedbacks for a gregd1985 on ebay. I know we're talking about gregd1275 but it would appear that our Greg was born in 1985 (May 27th) so must be a larger than large coincidence that Greg got 3 negative feedbacks then jedgley17 posted positive feedback for him.. Try messaging jedgley17 on ebay and you'll get a reply from Jodie. Greg's girlfriends account perhaps ;) or maybe Greg is Austria's Eurovision entry for next year :D

Have a look at the reason for gregd1985's negative feedback

it look like gregd1275 has interest on DVLA and disposal of vehicle...(n)

something strange here....
I searched the "jedgley17" on google but 'cause I am in Rome at the moment
Google.it is the default search engine
It come up that an Ebay account based in Britan was selling Mk1 panda wheels...

http://www.ebay.it/itm/Fiat-Speedli...5-128-X19-X1-9-Mirafiori-Lancia-/151258218019

ebay.it username is tuscanmountaincottage
based in Liverpool

Of course it could be only a very very strange coincidence

Tuscan mountain cottage is not jedgley17, no affiliation there at all.
