Hi all,

I have a 70 plate Ducato & today an annoying beep has started. Basically whenever I release the handbrake the van makes a constant beep & doesn’t stop until I put the handbrake back on. It doesn’t matter whether I’m stationary with my foot on the footbrake or doing 70mph on the motorway, the beep remains constant until I l’ve stopped & pulled the handbrake back up. There are no warning lights on the dash & the handbrake warning light operates correctly. Any ideas how I can fix it? It’s driving me bloody mad!

Cheers

I believe it is possible to dissable the beep (on earlier models) not sure on this age or how, I will investigate. There will be others that may know why its failing
edit from an old post
Buzzer Volume in 'My Car' Menu.

Not tried it myself but I think this will reduce the BEEP volume

Hi thanks for your reply. I adjusted the buzzer volume but it doesn’t seem to change the volume of the beep I’m having problems with, it just seems to change the volume of the beeps from pressing buttons when navigating the menu unfortunately.
