Looking at an automatic Motorhome but has a comfort auto……these any good? reliability?
And should it actually be called an automatic as it looks as tho drives like no other!

The easiest way to think about it is that it's a robotized gearbox
The clutch and gear change are electronically controlled by use of hydraulics

The main point to note is that the hydraulic oil (Petronas CS Speed Tutela @ £30/l) should be changed every 2-3 years and the clutch fluid Dot4 the same.
There are some very good guides by another member in the guides section

If you want Fiat to change the fluids for you, you will be looking at over £1000

Which year and how many miles?

If you want reliability do not get comfortmatic or the twin egr valve engine.

Can the comfortMatic be really sold as an Automatic gearbox as it operates so differently to drive…… & from a legal point of view if sold …..should it actually include the word ComfortMatic so they know it’s not as we know Autos normally!
