I have always in the past been a wash & go person.
Recently a friend highly reccomended autoglim super resin polish, and after pondering on it FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS decided to bite the bullet and treat myself to some.
Now i have read some ppls posts praising this stuff as well but nobody has suggested ways or the BEST way of applying it.
I.E
Damp sponge OR dry sponge,
Damp cloth OR Dry cloth,
Up and down strokes OR side to side strokes,
Circular movements,
How long to leave before buffing off
Is it ok to use in hot direct sunlight
etc ect
Thanks
kev.
P.s my Brava is Metallic Sky blue incase anybody needed to know.

Thanks m8,
Could you recomend a suitable applicator or will an old cotton T-shirt be ok

Same as above, and defo make sure you cover everything nice and thick. Once it dry's in, it will be mega white and powder-like. This is the best result. Just remove from there on with a different cloth/t-shirt.

Remember that if you do get some on plastics or rubber, use autoglym bumper care. Its AMAZIN.

clean dry car, dry cloth and plenty of rubbing :)

once you have done your car you cant go far wrong in finishing the job with some Auto Glym Extra Gloss Protection this isnt a polish but a sealent and stops dirt from sticking to your clean paint work just wipe it on with a clean cloth in long sweeps (its very thin) and leave for an hour then buff off if you have chance repeat once again. I just did mine again after 2 months with one coat to keep it topped up.

For cleaning trim i use A.G. fast glass which strips the wax so dont get it on the paintwork then followed with AG bumper care.

Their car shampoo isnt bad either and it shouldnt undo all your hard work but you will need to clean your screen and wiper blades with a bit of fast glass as the residue it leaves behind tends to smear with the wipers

Right I'm going to dive in here and say apply with an applicator pad or Microfibre cloth and apply thin - don't apply thick because it won't be any more effective, you'll waste more and spend more time trying to get it off. A slightly damp cloth can make application easier. Buff off with a microfibre. I used the Wilko Orange 99p or Tesco Blue £1.27 ones because they work and are cheap.

Re: Autoglym Super Resin Polish

Thanks for all the advice and all will be taken on board(y)
BUT
After washing with autoglim body wash then using the super resin polish and applying the Extra Gloss Protection,
Do i need to use the super resin again because
I'm told it has some sort of cutting agent in it, and surly i don't want to keep using on a regular basis or there will be no paint left.
Or do i just use the super resin the once and then just wash it regular and top up with the Extra Gloss Protection.
Sorry to ask so many questions but to keep my car looking nice i want to get things right first time.
Thanks
kev.

The other week, i did my red car with paint renovator, followed by resin polish, followed by EGP.
Some folk seemed to say leave it 12 hours before applying another coat of EGP, others said a week. So, i left it a week. Washed it again. This time didn't bother with Paint Renovator, but applied the Resin Polish, followed by the EGP.

I'm then on the understanding of it not needing EGP for a good while now & just applying the Resin Polish every so often.

Although, don't take this as gospel, as i could've been told duff info.

Thanks for your advice m8
But was expected more help from my fellow fiat owners, considering the amount of people who are using both these products and praise them well.

on my uno i washed car applied super resin polish left it for an hour or 2 then applied extra gloss protection and left that for an hour or 2, i did this every time i washed the car, the finish was so good that if you leant on the car you'd slide straight off

Almost ready to wash, polish & seal.
nearly got everything
just need some new yellow dusters now, nice dry weather and about 5 hours spare :)

Just to make this clear you should do the following:

1) Apply SRP with an applicator pad
2) Buff off with a microfibre cloth when it goes to a haze (That way you dont get the white dust)
3) Apply EGP with a different microfibre
4) Buff off with another microfibre

Then when you want to top up you should use SRP because......its a polish which means its abrasive so will actually take off the EGP. I'm not sure what you should apply instead though, perhaps EGP?

Thanks m8, i'm gonna try to get it done over the Easter holl's ALSO plan to put RainX on all windows as well(y)

rainX, no thanks.

the autoglym glass cleaner stuff (blue label £4) is the dogs, cleans ALL kinds of dog slobber, and smells quite nice. after you've cleaned the windows and breath on them, the breath won't show up, not even dog breath, their THAT clean.

also beads the water on the outside off quite well, maybe not as well as rainX< but then it lasts longer, AND it cleans, wheras rainX it has to be clean first, otherwise it just comes off
