Hi :

I have an Autobianchi A112 second series with 903 engine, I want to swap engine and I have seen everybody uses 1.2 16v Fire engine to swap it with racing purpouses , problem is it has the intake in oppsite side as standar and that makes no room for the heater box, so I was planing to use a Fire 1.4 8v engine that has the same intake position with panda fire 5 speed transmision (same has A122 series 3-6) but unfortunatly I have only found in internet a swap 1.4 with turbo fiat uno engine, Has anyine has done this swap and can help me?
Here beloww ling for 1,2 16v swap at yourtube
Thanks

After some searching I have found both 8v and 16v had intake same side, thats why normally 16v engine is used, but still not understanding why a 1.2 and not a 1.4 beeing bothe engines Fire Family and Architecture

So the question is; Why Pandas, 127 and A112 are always used 1.2 16v 188A4000 engine for swap instead 1.4 16V 199A6000?, why there is no trace in internet about 1.4 16v swaps ???? gearbox weakness?? Maybe different desing and bigger intake manifold makes more difficult adaptation? anybody knows it ??
