A short while ago I tried to bring to the attention of all 'Fiat Forum' members the danger being brought to our hobby by a proposed EU law banning ANY modifications to Historic (pre 1972) cars--the danger was possibly going to be:- modify your classic/historic car and forget about using it on the road. If you purchase the current edition (19th Sept) of 'Classic Car Buyer' they are advising readers that this is not so. It would seem that you CAN modify your historic car, but if you do you will have to continue having it MOT'd every year--it only becomes MOT exempt if it stays EXACTLY as the manufacturer built it. For once, it seems that Europe is trying to match OUR standards of vehicle examination
