We have virgin media - it keeps crapping out also:(

Tv keeps going, internet used to keep going - after the 11th time we said we would leave if it happens again - happened once more, we never switched but it's not gone since - 1 month almost since then

Tv still goes down DAILY, EVERY DAY:mad:

our tv works.

that forum is a pile of ****,

Ill wait the decade for the email i have sent to complaints to be routed to the proper place.

to me its a line fault not a modem fault.

reading out bill the land lord leaves in the flat £1.25 for a paper bill

15 of these errors today if its anything to do with it.

Thu May 19 10:49:01 2011 Critical (3) DHCP FAILED - Requested Info not supported.
Thu May 19 10:48:49 2011 Critical (3) No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out

so pc is now set to 192.168.0.9 router is 192.168.0.1 = gateway
and dns as said.
just to wait and see if it does it again.

ill set same on laptop, and tell other flat mates do do same as well?
obviously changing static ip of each pc

last time it did it was

Fri May 20 08:25:44 2011 Critical (3) DHCP FAILED - Requested Info not supported.
Fri May 20 08:25:34 2011 Critical (3) No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out
Fri May 20 08:24:54 2011 Critical (3) Unicast Ranging Received Abort Response - Re- initializing MAC

my pc wasn't even turned on, could it be a phone on wifi or something like that causing it?
or even a psp, which was one of the latest additions to the net work

shame the log, hasn't logged devices on at the time

It's nothing to do with unauthorised access. It's someone who already has your key and is on your LAN.

OR the error relates to the DHCP client on the Modem for the connection to Virgin (WAN).

Have you read this:-

http://community.virginmedia.com/t5...ing-Response-received-T3-time-out/td-p/225563

According to a guy in that thread it was resolved on their end.

Hi GarryEHunt,

I have checked your connection and have identified a local upstream utilisation issue on your UBR (local router) which will cause your speed to slow during busy periods. I have passed this to our network teams to resolve, we're sorry for any inconvenience caused.
