I have a Giardiniera and have bought a 126 gearbox, nani 5th gear kit and I am looking for someone with the know how to re assemble everything correctly within tolerances so there is minimal noises. Any recommendation appreciated.

Try contacting Andrew Harvey---he fitted a 5th speed to HIS gearbox I do have his e-mail address, but I don't think that I am allowed to put this sort of info on the Forum, so if you would like to contact me direct ( [email protected] ) I will pass it on to you. I am going away for 3 days as of tomorrow morning, so if I don't answer your e-mail for a few days. don't despair. Be aware, the 5th speed "add-on", must onlybe regarded as a 'cruising' gear and not an 'accelerating' gear---the shaft that the gear runs on is only supported (on nearly all the conversions) at one end. The gear-change selection 'gate' has to be modified, and there is a "u-tube" film showing how to do this---I will happily pass this info onto you as well. The gear-change 'lollypop' has to be shortened---I also have this measurement to hand.
