If only I had the tools, haha

Damn! If I would have knew, 50 and then petrol money down to your area would still be cheaper than paying a garage, and more reliable! ;)

How did you get on ?

did you manage to sort it,

Still waiting, it's in garage tomorrow morning to have it up and have a look,

Had a look at bolts you suggested, couldn't see or feel any loose bolts (from my limited access), so I'm just gonna take it in tomorrow and have a feel around while up on 4 post lift, will report back when I know what's gone one :)

Typical, noise didn't happen for the first time when on lift! Soon as I got it home, noise started again..anywah while it was up I checked the alternator bolts and all seems fine, so further investigation needed I think

Also the engine mount is in such a bad state, it is totally knackered so that it's shook the bolt on other end loose, they had a go at it but couldn't as it started to slip..so they have told me to buy a new mount and they are gonna just go for it and they said if it snaps then there is enough access to knock the old thread out or weld onto, we will see...

Also handy that I got a good view of underbelly and spotted a few rust spots that will need sorting soon

Yeah but it's back again now, maybe it is just really loud tappets maybe?

Got hold of my new dog bone mount today aswell. Was thinkin that if they snap the bolt, am I stuffed? How hard are the bolts to get hold of?

How hard are the bolts to get hold of?

Will give 'em a ring to confirm,

I changed the oil (it's had a full service by myself) about 2 months back
