I've had my 500 Street twin air for over a year now and I still love taking it for a drive in my spare time however I considered upgrading to the new 500 S. I was playing around with the configuration for the 500 and chose the awesome looking electronica blue colour which requires you to change the interior inserts from red to blue which is fine by me. However when I moved into the interior view I noticed that the wheel/gear gater stitching was still red along with a few other features. This looks abit odd to me and I was wondering if it just a glitch in the configuration image?

I have an S, and yes, the gear stick cover has a red stripe, and the steering wheel has red stitching, doubt that you can change that.

Fair enough, it's not a deal breaker as I love the look of the electronica blue =)

Well there are still lots if options but looks like the steering stitching colour and gear stick cover is non negotiable ... Keep in mind that the S also has red 500 lettering on the silver/grey dash as well ...

I've got the new interior and have to say the configuration pics don't do it justice the red looks really nice in the flesh and mines a Sport accompanies the red stitching on streering wheel and gear gater well

Cheers Dave that's good to hear. I'm going with the electronica blue + blue interior anyway :)

Forgot to mention earlier that as I have a manual S, the gear configuration diagram on the gear knob is also red, so red is definitely a subtle theme in the S interior .

I have the 500 sport in cream. Everyone, bar my brother, commented as to why the seats were blue when the details in the front are red. I did start doubting my choice.
And as PsFiat mentions there are quite a few red details.
Anyways, I have now got use to the contrast of the blue (only had the car for 2 weeks) and I'm so glad I went for the blue option. And I'll also point out the car looks bad ass!!
The car attracts a lot of attention and get waves from fellow 500 owners.
The interior really doesn't look as ghastly as it does on the configeration.
Hope that helps :)

I think the 500 S looks like a proper sporty 500 compared to the old sport model or my Street model. Don't get me wrong I love my 500 in electroclash grey with black alloys but it's not at good looking with the rounded bumpers. Another plus is that you can get the new 500 S with the 105 bhp twin air, the engine I love but with more power :p

I agree the S does look different to the tamer C or Pop, the front and rear bumper designs give the car a more aggressive look, and I do like the more subtle red/grey interior .
