Technical Air Con

My dad has a punto mk2 JDT today they have had steam coming out of the vents when they turned the air con on and there is a puddle on the floor of water on the pasengers side of the engine. has anyone experienced this or know what is wrong.

If it's really humid and the air con is very effective, you can get mist coming from the air vents. You sometimes get it in aeroplanes - I've seen this a few times.

The puddle of water on the floor is nothing unusual, it's condensation from the air con system. When you cool the hot humid outside air, some of the moisture in the air will turn back to water.
