General Air con advice

Hi

I bought my Panda a few months back.
At first I didn't even realise that it had an air con
I found out that to work it I needed to push the switch in, which I did and could see that it worked (light on).

Not needing it until recently, it was left alone, but now I want to use it, it doesn't work any longer.

My question is... What should I do first?
Re-gas and hope?
Could it be the switch itself... or a fuse?
I would have thought the light would be on even if it didn't work

Are there certain steps to go through?
I don't want to take it to a garage without having advice first.

99% chance there's no or low gas in the system.
There is a very strong chance the condenser at the front has a leak.

Try a re-gas and see, if it does leak then it should be easy to find with new tracer dye in there.

And you should use it for at least 1 day a month to avoid having issues, the gas contains lubricant for the compressor.

The fan has to be on anything other than off (0) for the light to come on
