my latest toy for the car is a new ripspeed headunit which i saw whilst doing the xmas shopping
Only £80 if you order online.. seems a bargain to me

hmm, i dont really rate ripspeed mate - sorry.

and if you really wanted a ripspeed i think you should have got the HU when the fascia flips out and is 7 inch wide iirc.

but if you like this one then keep it. i do reccomend alpine and kenwood HU's though.

thanks, Carl.

Nice car, love the wheels I had a similar thing planned for mine.

As for the bumpstrips, keep them on the car if you are going to tint the windows, keep the yellow and black theme going.

Stay away from ripspeed stuff in general especially their audio products. Your best bet is kenwood, sony, well known brands. Try checking www.caraudiosecurity.com or www.caraudiodirect.com for some great deals, you get some real bargains on there.

You also asked what else could be done. I think a badgeless grille is a good start and then take the chrome out of the headlights lights like this:

would look sweet on a yellow car, its what i plan to do eventually.

For the record, the above car isn't mine, its a user called sam55 off puntomk2, just used it to show an example of the lights and grille.

The lights need to be cut open along the join using a dremmel tool, then the chrome is removed and the backing is blacked before regluing them shut. Sounds simple but can be fiddly.

Really nice car m8 where did you get the bucket seats from and how muc where they?

Do they slid foward enough to let people into the back.

Cheers

The seats are 2007 cobra monaco s racing seats..
A good mate sold them to me for £60 for the pair

and they just about slide forwards enough to let people in lol... but when i get some spare time im goin to make them slide forwards a bit more becuase some people do have trouble gettin the back

oo right i see.. cheers (y)

but doesnt that mean i will be removing the reflective chrome from the headlights... therefore meaning my lights wont be as bright??
or does it not make a difference..
sorry if that sounds rather noobish lol

I still have not passed my driving test yet lol.. hopefully in feb i will have my liscene..
Then you probs will defiently be seeing alot of me then lol (dreading to think how much i will spend of fuel :D)
At the moment i am only on L-Plates

same here mate cant wait till i get rid of my l plates but it will be costing me a fortune because i will never stay in the house i will always just be driving about lol
I just went on random drives when I passed. But now fuel is holding me back haha.
Good luck to the both of you for your tests though :)

Nice motor there fella, me personally I would CC the bump strips, so many c***ts have hit my door in car parks with me in the car, let alone while my car was un attended.

just to add I think I used around 70 pound petrol the first week I passed, which was a year ago - cant' remember how much petrol prices were, but defo cheaper than at the minuite! that was in an eco friendly 1.2 8v :p
