So we got home with no problems yesterday :)

1st job this morning was to give it a hose down wile it was still on the trailer.
Sorry it's not the best photo, it was very bright 1st thing.

Over to the workshop and tryed to turn the engine over by hand and it's not good news, it's solid. Tryed very hard to get it to turn but it's having none of it. Good news tho, poped a battery on it and all lights apart from one works, the dash lights are all fine, the horn is good and wipers seam good as well.
So now time to remove the engine.

Time now for some rest and a beer, 1st thing in the morning is to remove the head and try to get the engine turning.
All advise welcome.

A little update on the engine front, it's stripped so hears a couple of snaps.

Engine on the way home. I'm sure there's better ways of carrying engines but at least it's got a seat belt on.

The crank it's self looks in great condition so very happy about that, also shows that the 17000 miles on the clock is genuine.

BTW, check those parts before you open them.
I don't think they are right for an 850T

Yep your very right, couldn't be more wrong. Trying to sort out a set for a normal price.

They are a cast aluminium shoe, so they aren't cheap. If you have a good commercial fitters nearby they can be re-lined.
It's also critical when you put them together that you adjust them correctly because if you don't they will lock up when the heat expands the shoes.
The adjusters are usually seized. I had to make some new ones.

Cheers having them re-lined I think is the best idea. But still need brake cinders.

Hi chaps.
Little question for you, what dose anyone think about using the original brake master Cylinder? Or should I buy a new one? A new one is £45?

Hi, great to see so much progress so quickly, you have been busy! Whilst you could take the old cyclinder apart and inspect the bores and cylinder for scoring for peace of mind, to be honest for the price and the time that it's been stood, plus the fact that these are single circuit brakes (so faulty master = no brakes) I'd be tempted to opt for a new one. Good luck & keep the pictures coming, Andy

Just stripped the rear wheels down today and on one side the brake lining had fallen off!
Ordered some of the cast alloy ones off ebay, let you know if they are the correct type when they arrive.

Ok nice one, yes please. What did they set you back? If you don't mind me asking?

Hiya, OK just fitted and they are the correct aluminium ones.
Here is the ebay link:

They are exactly the same as the Fiat branded ones I removed.
All you need to do is knock out the limt pin and drive it into the new shoe, it will be obvious when you compare them.
The drums are very simple with limited adjustment only on the bottom bolt which is concentric.

Just a quick update, the wheels are striped and ready for painting, they ate going to be White, I think they will look good with the shiny chrome hubcaps.

This gives a good idea of how rusty the inside of the engine was, hear you can see the push rods, before and after.
The time that has been spent just polishing internal parts of this engine is silly.

New rings are in the pistons, and a few more of the engine.

Today I also went and met Franco from www.ricambio.co.uk he has so Meny parts and his shop is stacked high. Hard to know where to start looking. I'd also like to say what an honest man he is, his prices seam very fair and he tells me that his web site is being worked on very day, so if you do not see something that your looking for on his site, is dose not mean that he hasn't got it in stock. Trust me he has lots of new spare parts. Also has a very friendly dog that's called "Enzo". I met his mother and farther and the hole business had a very nice and welcoming feeling about it, was even made a nice cup of tea.
I came home with a box full of parts that's now all over my dining room table.

Today I got a call from the engine shop and they said I could pop down to take a little look at how they are getting on. Hears it is all painted, after new valve seats, rings, honeing and complete strip and clean. Nice to see the before and after.

Hello, sorry for being so distant have been so buzzy with work not realy had the time to update this page, having said that I haven't stoped working on the old girl. Hears a few picks of what it looks like now, I drove it for the 1st time last week vas all was very good apart from haveing a fuel leak from the pipe onto the fuel tank. Did plan to MOT last week but the fuel leak stopped me, also trying to get the heating working before I try driving on the road. The heater value was blocked but now the pipe from the thermostate is blocked, to be honiest I'm a little stuck as to how I'm going to unblock it. But any way hears a few picks, il try to work out how to post a video of its 1st start
