Hi my 500x sport has developed a occasional misfire was worst while traveling to coast also does it on A roads has any body else had that problem or any advice would be appreciated

Don't think I've seen this in the 500X forum thus far, but as always can be wrong :)

Please explain what you mean by misfire. Symptoms, observed effects etc. You issue my not be a misfire as in old day's misfires.

Also is the Engine Management Light on (EML). With modern ECUs misfires will be registered in the engine ECU. If no EML on at the moment then a diagnostic read of the ECU will pick up any stored events.

As always remote diagnostics is very difficult. If the EML was coming on and off then you need to get the stored historical fault code(s) read. When a fault is permanent then the EML will remain on until cleared. Depending on the specific ECU (some are different) then if/when fault disappears it will be retained for a period of time with the EML light off. Ultimately after x hours and y successful engine starts the historical fault code/history may be erased.
