I've had a T/A 85 with Dualogic for almost 2 yrs, now with 24,000 miles. I love it as a town car, it runs fine, no problems, lots of poke.
My question ...............
'Has there ever been a 105 T/A with Dualogic?'
A new 105 T/A is only available as a manual.
Thanks in advance.

I was fairly sure the 105 was not available in DL but then I read a post on here from someone who had one or should I say who claimed to have one! I’m not convinced but the fiat configurator should put you straight.

The TwinAir 85 is a five speed box with the Dualogic. The TA 105 uses a 6 Speed manual box.

Dualogic/selespeed is only available on the 5 speed 500 gearboxes.

It is possible to remap the TA 85 to get more power out of it... I have never bothered as I am happy with it and prefer it to the drive of the 6 speed manual 105.... I was more interested in getting more power out of our 1.2 on a remap.

Thanks Mercky, as I thought. I think I see an Abarth coming my way!

Depends how you did, on the motorway my abarth managed 47mpg at motorway speeds. Around town 34-36. My 500 twin air driven enthusiastically didn't manage much more. Essentially if you drive at pace the difference isn't huge as you need to than the twin air ahead the abarth is easily quick.

Fuel economy not a concern,it is what it is, 35mg average, all short journeys. It's power I like.

I get an average of 33-34 mpg around town in a 2018 Abarth Trofeo but have only driven around 400 miles. Not had it out on the open road yet so can’t advise motorway mileage returns yet.

Once you have been driving for half an hour and everything is nice and warm it's very easy to head north of 45 mpg. Personally I prefer using sport as throttle response is easier to maintain speed.

I suppose it really depends on which engine version Abarth you go for... but if your only getting 35mpg from a twinair  it will be a lot less with the 180bhp version. I remember a friend went from baby Abarth to the full 180 version and the full economy he said went from late 30s to 25mpg :D

I average 48mpg and get 55mpg on a run (y)

The car never goes on a drive much more than 15 miles. I just checked brim to brim on mileage done, expected 40+ but just over 35. Its always in traffic, if I get on a dual carriageway, I do thrash it, so mpg as expected.

If my car ever did a long run, I’d expect 45+. If I upgrade, It would be a basic Abarth, but would have to be right colour combo and auto to replace the T/A, not many about.

In have had the 85 twin air - average of 40mpg, a mito 105 twin air - average of 38mpg (best was 65.7 at snail pace), two 595's one a convertible 35mpg and my current 695 xsr - 35mpg also. All have been driven in same manor, but as the abarth is so much quicker you are not thrashing it as much. all of them at some point had a tuning box fitted - awaiting a reprogramming for the xsr.

Worst I have managed is 12mpg on an autobahn. :)

The TA105 manual has 6 gears so I guess that helps the MPG on motorway runs. It pulls very well in 6th too from about 50MPH upwards. It's a fairly low revving engine - encouraging you to change gear at about 2000RPM with the in-speedo reminder arrow flashing away like a disco light..

It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, because the 1.4 comes with a six-speed manual box or the five-speed Dualogic, and both perform the same due to a careful choice of ratios. I can’t see any technical reason why the TA105 wouldn’t work with the five-speed Dualogic as well.

differnt 6 speed box prehaps? sligtly larger thus not allowing space for the dual logic syetm to be fitted?
my only thought no idea id they are differnt
