I took drive shaft off my 1987 for Inspection.
Found out rubber boot of front cv joint was torn an lots of sand had accumulated in the grease. Took cv joint of and cleaned al parts.vIn my rush i forget to look close how it was put together.
Now i discovered parts are not symmetrical.
Please help what is correct way to install?

What side has to mate with circlip
Cage has a chamferd side,
Smal ring/washer has domed shape

In the absence of any more accurate details and from distant memory on other CV joints, I would slide the conical washer with raised/dome side facing the drive shaft, then the centre "knuckle" with it's chamfered lead towards the drive shaft to aid insertion onto splines, the circlip on opposite end obviously and finally when you fit the cage before inserting balls I think you will find the open /wider end of cage is more towards the driveshaft as this will allow more angle of movement.
Assuming the drive shaft is still on the vehicle I would start with the cleaned drive shaft , slide the new CV boot on the shaft and out of your way, slide domed washer onto shaft (dome inwards towards shaft) I am guessing there is a "stop" that the domed washer comes up against, then slide knuckle onto shaft towards the taper, tap on all the way and fit circlip, then with CV joint well greased with correct grease, pop in the balls around the cage (wide end towards the shaft) you may have to turn the CV cage to a sharp angle to fit the last of the balls, then slide the cleaned and well greased outer part of CV joint over the caged balls, slide it around a bit and check you get full movement, but be careful not to allow it to fall apart, then slide new CV boot into place and secure with new clips and carefully reassemble into hub.
If all else fails strip the other side and take photos;)

smal marks of circlip , domed ring en the metal part of the boot are visible on the cv parts
everything seems to correspond

Now i need to find a new boot, hard to find one
We can get Universal ones here, they are softer rubber and you cut the end off with scissors to the suitable size.
Not perfect and probably only last a few years as soft rubber.
Otherwise you may find a different vehicle CV boot of similar dimensions if lucky.
If you do a search for Universal CV boots I found this from Eurocar parts, don't go for the "split type" as I think they are cr*p.
Make sure the clips and tool you use to secure them are good or the soft rubber will fail.:)
