Panda (Classic) 4x4 13" off road tyres - what you need!

I run this style for off-roading and they are the best you can get. They are exactly the same as the Italian version which I got imported for nearly twice the price that these cost. The original style and tread of tyre was specifically designed for the Panda 4x4 by the Italians for use by hill farmers etc. - it is the tyre you see on all of the Italian Pandas on YouTube. I did the research into buying some last year from Italy and found a company which were very helpful and shipped them straight to my door, but I have now found them available on our own soil so I thought I'd best share it with you all

I've had them in my watch list since but am hesitant about buying them as I don't have a Panda I'd want them on at the moment.

I bought some from this supplier a couple of years ago for my white 4x4 but they went with the car. They certainly are the business though.

They look just like the tyres that used to be supplied on Land Rovers back in the day.

I was always fascinated by the castellations on them as a kid.

The same tyres made by pneus ovada{italian tyres probably copies of malatesta which are copies of... etc...} are avialable in Poland, 620zl =125 GPB for set of four,so the prices are quite similar

That's good to know - mine are the Ziarelli Trac 4x4 from Italy including shipping was Euro194.00 so cheaper to get all round from Poland. That ad I put up from ebay they're £74 for a pair.

Just out of interest -- and I know this is a Panda we're talking about... -- what's the road noise like with these...?

I tried something similar on my old Isuzu Bighorn. Apart from the cost, they were absolutely unbeatable, even in the deepest, muddiest, rutted stuff... -- but the noise was absolutely deafening on tarmac (and I wear hearing aids; and it was a diesel...)!

Ended up swapping them for something a little less, er, rugged.... Kudos to the Isuzu, though: even with semi-road tyres on, it would still cope with just about everything you threw at it. (The 4WD system was all mechanical, of course: none of this modern electrickery stuff....) :worship:

They are pretty noisy but have a small footprint so may not be as bad as your Isuzu.

As Vman says they are pretty noisy on the black stuff but the worst bit is the increase in fuel consumption, when i put them on to drive down to nottingham for panday we used nearly a full tank and i recon it would have been half that if i'd have kept the roadies on!

You'll be fine with decent tyres and exercising sensible caution
