Ive had my croma 194 1.9 150 16v nearly 10 years now 156,000 miles. Ive been having problems with my swirl vane linkage popping off. Do i delete them or replace them as they`re loose and a gunky blowby or replace. If i delete. how would i delete from ECU i have Multiecuscan plus Launch and also make has Autel Maxisys. I'm divided at moment. I did a delete many years ago on Vauxhall insignia 160 16v But still came up with vane fault so if i do delete i wish to delete function from ecu and will it effect performance? Thanks for looking at post. Regards from grollie.

Strangely enough I had and issue with those on a 3 cyl Corsa amongst other issues, (valves sticking in guides melting the plastic inlet manifold on a 25k vehicle)
What I did was removed the flaps but left the spindles behind so the computer thought it was all working fine, car ran perfect with no adverse effects.
Sorry thinking back it was the flaps that allow only half the inlet ports to be uncovered. I know at that time BMW had an issue with theirs breaking off and being ingested into the engine.
