I've got an odd one with the aircon on my 1.9JTD.
It has never been what you'd call good. It works but I'm sure it should be colder. The system is good, had a new condenser and dryer 3 years ago as it had a big leak, compressor works, no blockages.
Unrelated to the aircon issue I changed the thermostat over xmas so now the engine actually gets to temp
I was thinking this week that I've NEVER heard the cooling fans kick in. Previous vehicles have always run the fans on low with the aircon on. My doblo doesn't. Fuses are good. The fans do run if I pull the relays and feed direct. I have a bidirectional scanner and tried the fan tests (fan 1 and fan 2) and that works. Low speed and high speed. But still when running the fans are stubbornly static.
Does anyone know what makes the fans run? Should running the aircon run the fans low speed?
