Technical 2.4L fiat engine

Hi All,

Anyone know if the 2.4L petrol engine in the Freemont is the same as the 2.4L Jeep Compass and Patriot engine, and if it's the same will it fit in the Freemont. Does anything have to be changed for it to fit, or will it bolt straight in?

Not a common vehicle here so no data, all I can see is an American video about the Chrysler 2.4 Tigershark MultiAir Engine which they describe as Chrysler/Fiat but say how terrible it is using a quart of oil in 1000 miles and how the design is very technical and relies 100% on good clean oil for it's hydraulic valve operation etc. which is often neglected resulting in terminal damage which presumably you are now familiar with. Sorry I am no help
