Hi, I’m having scynchro trouble with my gearbox , I’ve spoken to a lot of places and they all say the same they just can’t get parts to rebuild it, this is devastating for us as the rest of the motorhome is perfect , any advice on a soloution I.e replacement box or someone that can get parts etc would be much appreciated as I’m not very mechanically minded , thanks

In particular can you select reverse without grinding / clashing of gears.

Theres plenty of used bixes on ebay.co.uk and ebay.de should be easy enough to buy a complete driveable rusty mot failure van for a few hundred pounds that way youd know gearbox was good

Thanks for reply’s, it’s gone grindy changing gears other that that runs and pulls great really disappointing can’t get parts for them anymore a decent second hand one I would jump at , no grinding goin in to 5th or reverse and if change gear gently hardly notice it just bad when round town up an down gears a lot

have you tried double-declutching you cant rush gear changes on the old stuff. my vans 22years old 2.5tdi ducato and gear change is perfect but I always d-declutch both ways and gear box is clean as a whistle and I drive it hard. may be worth a try !. ps I checked axel-Augustine-de website and they have wide range of gearbox parts available for your box.
