Panda (Classic) 1992 Black Selecta [K438 FEE]

Sad to see this one back on... -- but understand why....

I know been driving for 2 weeks as my everyday car and got nearly 42mpg........but have been offered the Alfa 155 selespeed back that I built for her back in 2011 and sold it in sep 2013 so flying up to Aberdeen on the 24th to collect it.

Plus I've won a Alfa 155 2.5 turbo diesel lhd on French plates as a everyday car

How hard would it be to convert this to a manual gearbox and what gearbox would be needed to fit the 1242 engine. Anyone know?

Just a thought at the moment and I didn't realise when I posted that the car was 2 million miles away from me. Was thinking about salvaging a few spares off the box like the filter etc if I did it. Don't forget though the box has done 141,000 miles

Again this is just a thought, but I really want a panda with a 1242 engine in it. This car has already had the conversion done but I wouldn't want to put a selecta box through the extra punishment of more power going through it
Also the plan would be to have a fun fast panda so I'd want a manual gearbox in it anyway and could use the selecta box to keep other selectas going hopefully!
Anyway, I've re read the add and although it says selecta auto automatic in big letters at the top, in the specs below it says Manual so seems the jobs been done already.

I'm going to Southend on sea at the end of the month then down to Kent to collect a Alfa 155 so will have a empty trailer on the way down so could sort something out with dropping it off

If you look at the bottom of the add where it says transmission it says manual. That's what confused me

I just followed the link further up the thread that took me to the gumtree add.
I didn't realise you could get the punto ecu to talk to the electronic control unit for the selecta box? That was nifty! Was the punto an auto?

It doesn't really talk to it, gearbox ecu just sees engine ecu info such as rpm etc.
