Would it be wise to buy 1988 2 litre petrol Fiat motor home with 40,000miles

Petrol is not popular,
it will be thirsty, and potentially high VED

£2K Isn't expensive in Camper terms, but you need to ensure the body is sound and mechanics are good

Or it could be scrap within 2 years

(I Bought a 1.4 petrol Renault Trafic Autosleeper.. thirsty and gutless, but at £500, and a £250 running costs over the 3 years I kept it.. It was a cheap introduction to Mo-ho's)

Finding parts for that age is often impossible , for instance exhaust system parts. let alone corrosion at that age.
