It was possibly a deer that caused me to have my accident last year (n), country lanes not good.

Either way, i hope you get all your insurance sorted out soon mate.

Wonder if the one i dodged is still running around somewhere .

I could never shoot a living animal, especially a dear. Even though they caused me to have an accident :(.

What you want to be carefull of if hes young and doesnt give a F**k, lets face it if he didnt have insurance or a liscence hes not likely too then hes more than likely to let the police deal with it and your only hope is small claims court where he can choose to pay you £5 a week.

I will just say, i got rear ended years ago and because the witness didnt come forward stating the guy who hit me didnt brake (he was following), and despite the fact he shunted me a good time after I stopped, the claim went against me and I suffered.

Someone else wrecked my car and because the insurance company said my position in the road meant it wouldnt stand up in court, and it just so happens that I never received the letter from my insurers giving me the choice to accept this or not so my silence became a yes and i got shafted and the other guy got his car fixed.

It still makes my blood boil all these years on.

The silly fooker also tried to sue me out of court, until I asked his solicitor if he was aware he ran into my car. It had dodgy written all over it

How much room is how much room ? I genuinely believed there was plenty of space between him and me, probably at least 5 car lengths. I think the constant braking by him put me off and when he did his final braking manouvere i was lulled in to a false sense of security of " Jeez, he's braking again."

Sorry about your costs Yorky, but I wonder if you perhaps misread the situation. Seems equally likely to me that the driver in front felt pressurised by your eagerness to overtake, and was intermittently braking like that to get you to back off. After several mild attempts he resorted to a more aggressive 'brake-test' (which you unfortunately failed).

If I'm right, then he was probably as surprised as you were - he was aiming to scare you, not collide with you. The problem is that you simply cannot prove any of this. On an open road with good visibility, you drove into the back of a car which you had been following for some time - I can't imagine any insurer having any doubt that you're 100% liable.

Hard lesson to learn, but at least no-one's hurt.

well today on my way to work, on a roundabout, i was on the outside lane and a van on the inside lane ate the front side of my beloved stilo, funny thing is he was saying it was my fault, obviously in this case the insurer is on my side.

Roundabouts with dividing lines are so annoying, i hate them, i come home from work and there is one, there is a lane for left turn, straight on, and right turn.

But the lanes are so narrow it is only possible for 2 cars to get round at once, not all 3. So you can imagine how many minor collisions there has been there. Luckily i have not been involved in one of them :D
