Odd question this, but just how soft should the hose from the turbo to the intercooler be?
I've just replaced my '04 1.9 JTD Dynamic Plus with a '10 1.9 JTDm Eleganza and I feel that something is not quite right with the boost.
I'm getting quite a bit of what appears to be turbo lag below 2500 rpm followed by the thing taking off like a rocket. I'm also getting the occasional 'p-tssh' noise when changing gear under hard acceleration but obviously there's no BOV as it's a diesel.
I've had a quick look at the hoses and the only weirdness I can see is that the hose from the turbo to the intercooler is soft. Really soft. Obviously it's never going to have to take a vacuum so it wouldn't need to be too rigid, but is this normal?
