:bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang:
Had my cambelt changed last week, as I had no idea when the belt was changed last. Decided better safe than sorry. Belt looked almost like new, both the tensioner and idler pulley's felt a little rough already when turned. The aux belts were OLD and deffo needed a change.
Problem now is the engine won't idle or run below about 2000 RPM. When cold the engine starts and seems to hold a rather rough idle at about 1200 RPM. As the engine heats up the revs drop to about 1000 and the running gets rougher and rougher. Then it just cuts out. Above 2000 RPM the car runs reasonably well although it seems a little gutless and not as smooth as it used to be.:yuck:
When I picked it up he mentioned it ran a little rough, but I thought he actually meant a LITTLE rough (And it used to be at idle because one of the injectors is on its way out. It purred like a kitten when it warmed up though). He assured me the timing of the cam pulleys was spot on for both his own marks and the originals.
The car is currently back at the garage, he's having a look this afternoon. Anybody got any good idea's what the problem might be? I'm getting really sick of this car atm. I love it when it works, but there's always something broken the last few weeks.
