Not sure on the petrol...on a diesel its pretty obvious and on the left hand side as you look at the car...looks like a very long oil filter...

ive had a diesel multipla and its totally different 
my car now wont start and im sure its the filter at cause as when its low low on fuel and then left over night it would splutter badly the following day on start up... and now only turns over but not starting... I cant find anything online for the location of the filter which is odd as theres lots of 1.6 multiplas out there.

I phoned my local fiat dealers and they said the fiat multipla 1.6 2002 model doesn't have a fuel filter?? I got my car to start but about 30 secs later it cut out and was hard to try and start after so much that I now have a flat battery lol does anyone know what the problem could be apart from its a FIAT lol no codes are showing up. when it does start up its very hard to keep the revs up (splutters) but once started and revs are up to 5k it seems normal?? confused.com
