I think even if someone is involved as long as they don't actively try and advertise the company and they make it public that they're involved then it should be all good should it? Not trying to tell anyone how to do their job, just the way I see it
Cool. So if we all agree not to pimp our respective companies/suppliers/mates/etc, does anyone have any first hand experience of supercharging the 1.4? What problems did you encounter? How did you overcome them? How did it all end? Tears or joy?

For the money I reckon you could easily get a brembo GT system, Abarth engine with some modifications, Bilstein or Spax coilovers, OZ Rally Asfalto's and probably have a lot of change left over.

As my cost anaologies always seem to be Subaru based I bet with the change left over you could buy an Impreza turbo and modify it and have 2 flipping cars, both better than the one they charge 11k for JUST to modify!!!!!

Going back to the dyno plot for the 1.4. It looks reasonable for an NA, can't see you'd get a lot more with the stock engine. The torque curve has a bit more area beneath it and particularly so at the lower end, which might well be noticeable.
Whether it meets the OP's needs is another question.

AFAIK there have been 3 conversions sold, not sure if any SC though
You have to admit though that it's pretty overpriced even if it does have an arch kit and wheels.

Remapping is probably better than a chip, but I think the point with NA engines in stock trim, is that you don't get a huge gain for your money. That dyno plot from a remapped 1.4 is a good example to see the sort of gains. You may feel some benefit at the bottom end where the torque curve has been raised reasonably over stock.

you cannot chip tune a 500 in the traditional sense it has to be remapped through the OBD2 port

Nuova do a ECU re-map (in the post) and an ITG panel filter for £295 and they reckon it is the best value upgrade compared with the BMC or an ITG induction kit on a bhp per £. I reckon it gives around 5bhp but I've no proof. I did post on here before looking to see if someone had done it but got no responses.
My personal opinion is that you're better off changing something else e.g. the breathing (a GSR induction kit) or / and a manifold (like a Supersprint / Janspeed) to make it worthwhile doing a ECU re-map and this should ideally be done on a RR.
Thanks for response - best I've seen talks of 9bhp benefit (http://www.evolutionchips.co.uk/chipsearch.asp) which is not bad, tho I'm uncertain as to impact on fuel economy - if any - in 'normal' driving.
