They both look ok - but are they legal? You have to have a clear reversing light, and you have to have a red reflector. Sorry to sound like an old git.

They're both legal The left hand side looks much darker than it actually is. Just shadow. But the reflector is still effective, plus it's been through two MOT's.

The right hand side one should be road legal. The light still shines through effectively. And I don't think they have to be white in colour when they're not on, because theres loads of cars out there with black or other coloured lenses. My Dad's old Peugeot 405 reverse lenses were black I seem to remember.

I agree! I decided to go with black on red which I'm worried about because everyone seems to favour the black on silver :eek:

I think black on red looks more euro, and makes a bit more of contrast of colours. Not all dark on dark on dark. :)

im a massive fan of black and chrome... You have my decision...


I REALLY wanna do the tinted rear light conversion that another member did where some parts of the rear chrome reflectors were painted black and the red inserts were tinted

i also want to do something with the headlights but need to check out legalities

Well I must be an "old git" because I prefer the lights untinted, and legal. (y)

Why are you worried about what everyone else likes, you modify your car for you, no one else lol.

I don't think any one on this forum would like how my MW is gonna look when I'm done with it, but I won't care, I'll love it and thats what counts. So you go ahead and do what you think looks right on your car (y)

If Fiat used tinted lenses as standard, I bet I would do my best to get clear lenses. I just like to be different :yum:

Thanks mate! I wasn't worried what everyone thought, I was just worried I'd made the wrong decision. I have two MW's anyway, the silver one is now using the silver/black lights which seems to suit it more than the blue one did.

The black/red is really growing on my now anyway. The red breaks up the car from looking too black, and the black compliments the window tints :)

I'm looking forward to seeing your MW! I'm glad to see more people modding their MW's!
