Punto (Mk1) Painting your handles

much simpler technique than taking off the door cards and removing the handles to paint them. does it cover all the handle though or leave a little bit where the paint doesnt reach?

yea there was a tiny line aroudn the top and on the side but i just sprayed a bit on a peice of card then dipped a tiny brush in it, then very carfully dabbed the line, you wouldnt notice it at all

will probably follow this guide instead of the doorcard removal option. same goes for your boot handle guide, i'd never dreamed of painting bits while still stuck on the car, funny how you miss the simplest options isn't it!? thanks for opening my eyes!

Think you should work for phillips lol "sense and simplicity"

Now go ahead and show me how to colour code my wingmirrors without having to remove the mirrors themselves so i can get the whole lot done on a saturday afternoon

haha yea i liek that idea of the philips job,
i was gonna paint my wing mirros but then i just went dow nthe scrappy and lucky there was a crashed punto sporting on the top of some cars, so i climbed up there and inside was 2 COLOUR CODED MIRRORS!!!! i was soo happy
cost like a tenner or somthing.

This is great, im gonna do it as soon as the weather is better.

How about a tutorial on doing mirrors tho? Do you reckon u could do them too without taking them off the car?

i painted my wing mirros and base plates, but took them off the car, was so much easier
i hung them from string up in my garage so i could rotate them while spraing, so they wouldnt have to rest on a bench or anything...

just out of interest, does this method cover the underneath of the handles? would imagine that paint would eventually flake away from use otherwise.
