Hi All,

Code P0715 popped up yesterday on my Dualogic and it wouldn't go past second gear. I believe this is the gearbox input shaft RPM sensor. Alfa OBD only shows a slight variation between engine RPM and gearbox RPM so I suspect it is a dirty/damaged/life expired sensor. But, I can't locate it, any idea where it is?

I am aware of that thread, I believe that is an indication of a worn clutch but there's no sign of any slip and it wheel spins off the line! It's an intermittent problem. It came on again this morning whilst stationary. I want to check out the sensor before examining the clutch.

Ok, found the sensor just above the passenger side driveshaft gearbox. Wanted to take it out and clean it and its connection but haven't got the right size spanner. No sign of slippage and full throttle kickdown is instant.

Does the clutch disk speed ever show a stuck or absurd value? Like way off from the engine RPM?

Also can you share the system status information from AlfaOBD? Especially the parameters about the clutch?

I checked engine and transmission output and they were quite even but I didn't save the graphs.

worn out clutch I believe

For example, to check whether clutch is slipping (for a Selespeed ECU) move "Engine rpm" and "Clutch disk speed" meters to the same tab, activate and zoom them, start scan and drive the car for some time. If the clutch speed is lower than engine speed for non-idle, the clutch might be slipping and considered for replacement.

it doesn't look good. But always worth checking the simple things First.
