I acquired this Panda in 2005 as part of a deal. "Buy this one get another free" The free one has long since gone as spares and this "the good one" was always destined to be fixed. I had grand plans, but on the latest revisit where I start it up and have a look I realise it's becoming increasingly unlikely I'll ever find the time to tackle it and it's condition is only getting worse. I would prefer it to go to someone to use as spares or ideally for someone skilled and ambitious enough to get it back on the road.
I'm still a little undecided if to keep it or not but i'm leaning towards passing it on as I don't realistically have the time to tackle it, but what do you think it's worth?
There's a lot up with it.
The doors and bonnet are obviously very rusty.
The boot isn't rusty but it's not been repaired well so it's hard to close and "wbboly" along the bottom.
The nearside wing is dented
The NS A-pillar is rotted through
There are dents on the roof and a rust hole near one of the roof rails
Arches needed fixed
The sills need attention
The brake hydraulics need sorted though the handbrake functions
A few things have been salvaged for spares like the wiper motor
The drivers door catch is a bit wonky and doesn't always catch
The windscreen cracked when a tree fell on it
On the plus side...
I did look at the front suspension a few years ago and cleaned that up, including fitting new drive shaft rubbers
Also the engine starts really well, although I don't let it run long as it needs a new head gasket.
The gearbox and 4x4 seem pretty sound
I have the v5 for it, currently sorned it's last tax disc was 2001!
Oh and someone's made a cute 4x4 graphic for it!...
