When it was in the Sei, it shook the whole car... A local round the local town who plays loud dance crap had his music blazing. So I put on diesel power (in the vid) in the Sei. That made him look round

my halfords 900watt sub and amp seems to give a bigger boot then that

As long as it sounds good I'll listen to it though

But the chap I'm talking about has no taste in music atall, should have said loud crap bassy music at the start...!

cant go wrong with a bit of hardstyle turned up loud, that makes the car shake some :devil:. my memory stick got all sorts in it tho, house, trance, breaks, dubstep, dnb etc. all things dance really.

Time for a short update

First, the pedals

Sweeeet

Now I have a hatred for the standard Bravo wheel, it feels thin, heavy and cheap, a huge let down to a very stylish car

So out with the Alfa Romeo 156 wheel and on it went

Its lighter than the standard wheel, feels waaaay better and it looks very well

Now some of you may know the car is being lightened. First on the chop list was the 2nd spare wheel. Next was the steel floor... Over 60KG reduced!!!

My classy sound deadening approach, lots of coal sacks! It worked well too

Oh my, this looks familiar...

I thought this little bracket was missing when I took the console out. I took out the screw out and lifted the console out when ready. The screws had come loose somehow. It had then stuck to the bottom of the console :doh:

But I put it all back together and it looks much better

i had a bracket made for my console (wellit came with it)But i never put it in anyway,at the time it was wedged between my Cobreaus and didnt budge,now i have leathers there is slight movement but that dont bother me

Mine came from a weekend, I pillaged everything I needed. Pity it didn't have elec mirrors, I had to buy the buttons new, £44! Does your console sometimes squeak? Mine did until I tightened all the mounts...

Just one pic this time, thought the phone was broke but its alright

tried to capture the ridiculously low exhaust at the front...

I'm enjoying the wheel why didn't I swap it ages ago!!!

What front splitter do you have on? Looks good.

Also, is the steering wheel easy to change? Much prefer the HLX one to the SX one.

i think its standard to the Marea Bumper

Its part of the bumper so it cant be taken off at all

The wheels are a direct fit. I assume youre talking about a leather trofeo wheel, I have one here

Be weary of the airbag connectors, I can't remember off hand but I'm nearly sure the trofeo wheel uses a different connector to the standard Bravo. Use the clock spring that comes with the bag. I think the wheel is lighter than the SX wheel too, bonus there

Glad that this thread is a good read to all out there and is also a help to some common and not so common problems! Don't worry I'm far from finished yet

And heres the proof. I was wondering where all my coolant was going

Thats a dash out job and a misery working on the heater hoses at the bulkhead!

Oh well, expect a "few" pictures when I'm working on that...

Now I have my arb painted up but strangely no pictures were taken, the phone must be on its way out (Nokia 7210 Supernova) however I'll get some later. Just need a trailing arm and thats another post sorted

I'll leave you all for now with this picture...

And this video. Don't mind the smoke, my extention gasket is gone ALREADY :bang:

Correct. I had to use the marea clockspring aka airbag ring when getting my controls on the wheel to work.The bravo has only the airbag plug that plugs into the bravo clockspring.The marea clockspring has the airbag plug AND the wheel controls plug that plug into it. I had to cut the bravo airbag plug off (as it was wider) and refit with spades..Wasnt too bad of a job,everything is just screws and was worth it in the end

Short update time...!

First, remember my vid earlier? I arrive back 30 mins later... :bang:

Yep the matrix pipes finally let go. I'd only been to the scrappies too, a 70 mile round trip

So I went into the garage and got distracted...

Damn where are all my pictures going, theres a few missing! The tb is half done at this stage

Then I went in for food... :yum:

A short while later though, time to root out a suitable matrix

Oh my...

The thoughts of putting all this mess back together...

And eventually... Out ya pig!!!

Well, it means extra storage I guess...

Then inside for more food and cake... :yum::yum:

Now onto my little van

Strangely, a dashboard bolt was missing...

Remembering where all the wires and cables go...

And after a few bolts were removed

Out it came with a fight. I won :devil:

Just to emphasise the scale of the task...

Now onto these :bang:

The clips were a nightmare to break and the hoses were welded on. I smashed the 2 metal pipes in the process of removal

But when I did...

Finally after nearly 15 minutes!

Just the pollen filter... (yes, I need a new one)

And after 4 bolts and a lot of swearing, this pig is out!

I'll be taking it apart just to see how its put together, so to one side it goes...

To be fair, these are fairly straight foreward to take out

Or have I been working on them too long... :spin:

But I must continue. Swap all the good bits over

By now its in and bolted up. To this boyo...

But first, the airbag

And sorting the cables... (don't worry at this stage I know what every one of them does

)

And know what happened next? The phone died!

So no pics of the rest of the installation... It's still charging, it was very dark when I finished and I'm still not finished! Just the speedo to put back, will be cutting and shutting 2 together so I actually have a working temp gauge for once

Also got the heater piped to the back when I put the console back, heat to the rear now like in the Marea

wouldn't want to be getting cold back there now would we...

But stay tuned, I'll be up bright and early, I hope...!

that brought back some memories of when i took my dash out :O i lost some screws in the process

worst bit it putting it back, fiddly job imo !! but good luck anyway on what ever else needs doing

have you thought about white dials ?

taken a few dashes out in my time, never had to put one back in yet though - i imagine its a complete nightmare though - i never managed to get one out yet without breaking at least 1 of the mounts - i guess its easier when you know where they are however lol.

im sure ur trying to gain a world record form the number of times u have taken apart and put back together the car. lol. coming along nicely tho.
have the van window panels been lacquered or polished down? they look matt compared to the rest of the paintwork.
