I had some problems with the GP.
Hill Holder not available, Reverse Light not comming on, rear wiper not turning on, parking sensors not activating.
After diagnostics it turned out the reverse switch was broken.

So ordered a new one and fitted it.
Made some pictures to create a guide.

This guide is based on a 2007 GP Sport 1.9 MJET.

Tools needed

A spanner kit with at least 13mm and 10mm.
22mm en 19mm wrench.
+ screwdriver

I had the luxery of using a 4 column bridge.
It may be possible to do it on the driveway with a high curb.

Getting started

Park the car and remove the tray underneath the engine.
When you look up you can see the reverse switch on the front of the gearbox. It's in an awfull place behind the intercooler pipe.

I removed the intercooler pipe to get to it.

Remove the old sensor

Unplug the plug and remove the old sensor.
Mine was original and I had to use a 22mm wrench.
After that place the new sensor, the new one I had needed a 19mm wrench.

Apply some electronic spray and plug the cable.

Finished

Put the intercooler pipe back in place and put the tray back underneath the engine.
And your done.

Check if your systems work.
If you had a fault it probably has to be cleared before verything works.
