After the last update the body has now been filled where necessary and given a coat of zinc primer where it needed it. It's nice to see it all in one colour!
The body was then flipped upside down for the underside to be given a coat of raptor to protect it, and once that had cured it had it's finial finish of Fiat 233 White cellulose.
Then the big step of actually bolting something to it that I wasn't going to take off again - the front spring - as it's simpler to install it with the body inverted.
Also whilst it was inverted the interior roof and the panel below the fuel tank were prepped and finished in white - much easier to do prep them and spray them when it's not the right way up. These are in-prep pictures, though these areas are now finished in 233.
Also while inverted the engine bay area received it's filler primer then the upper surface also had it's finish of the final colour.
That was it for an upside down car. It was then turned over and the rest of the engine bay given it's final finish.
Next was the area under the bonnet. Am I allowed to call it a 'Frunk', ir is that too modern a term?! Filler primer has gone on and that's currently in prep for the final finish, which should go on in the next day or so.
I stood back and looked at it this morning and thought 'It actually feels like I'm getting somewhere'!
So final finish in the frunk next, then onto the rest of the interior of the body.
