ok, iirc the offset is 30-40 for a bravo. is this right.

the pcd os 4x98, i know that.

can you get away with 4x100 and wobbly bolts#? has anoyne used these? i dont understand how they work, but are they safe to use etc. anyone who has/ or used them can you comment please.

and what is the center bore? iirc my old corsa was 56.6 what is a bravo?

and finally there are two pins sticking out of the hubs where you would mount the wheels. if i for instance tried to put aftermarket wheels on, the pins would just get in the way, and i wouldnt be able to do it.

can you only buy certain types of wheel that fit round the pins??

Will try and be of help. (y)

The PCD is the distance between the wheel bolt holes.
Looking at the face of the wheel. Turn the wheel so that the wheel bolt holes are in a diamond shape.
The PCD is the measurment taken from the two opposite holes eg the top hole and the bottom hole.

The measurement is taken from the CENTRE of each hole. The distance between the holes is the PCD. On a Fiat this measures 98mm or 98pcd
On a Peugeot/Ford 4stud it is 108mm or 108pcd and on a Vauxhall Renault Mazda etc etc. It is 100mm meaning 100pcd

So we know that only Fiats Alfa's and some others are 98pcd meaning wheels are limited. However 100pcd is only 2mm difference and those wheels are a plenty :D

If you put a 100pcd wheel on a fiat the holes wouldn't quite 100% line up. Normal bolts have a fixed collar near the bolt head. This collar tappers and fits snugly into the alloy wheel. Have a look and see. Because of these collars the alloy spaces the bolt exactly to the Pcd of the alloy. Hence can only be fitted to a car with the same pcd as the alloy.

Wobbly bolts have a mm of play in the collars. The collars are loose! So the collar lines up and goes into the wheel snug as usual, but!! The bolt has a fraction of movement, left to right, as such. Allowing them to allign with the smaller hole pattern of a Fiat.

Around 37mm offset.
centre bore (aka) spigot size, is 58.1 according to kayl0rz.
The the pins come out with a spanner. 12mm I seem to remember (y)

sweet,

cheers mate. :worship: so no grinding the pins off then! lol. think that a good idea, willl prob end up with some 4x100 wheels, the standard HGT alloys are a bit weathered, and need two new tyres so think im just gona by some more instead.

anyone after a cheap set of HGT wheels??

anyway, im gona be after some wobbly bolts it seems. anybody know a good place to get them? prob can find a place in town if i have a drive about, but dont mind ordering some off the net, as i wont need them straight away.

anyway, cheers mate, the above is good news (y)
