General Code card missing

We have a Lexia 3 and PP2000 - looks like PP2000 wants the build code. Will a Fiat dealer be able to find it? Otherwise the very thing I bought the Lexia for won't work, will it?

Well, it might be - there's a five digit number. Would five digits be right? At the bottom of the sticky on the door pillar is "45648 - 1" Does that make sense? Thanks!

Hi,

The build code on your vin plate will not work, You need the appropriate build code for the software you are using. For example I have a 54 plate Fiat ulysse so to get Lexia to connect to it I told Lexia it was a Citroen C8 and gave it the build code (rp number) for a 54 plate C8, If using Peugeot planet you would need to tell it the car was a Peugeot 807 and supply a build code for a 54 plate 807. I have done this and was able to access all modules and read/clear faults and was also able to look at live data etc. To get the build code just search ebay for a exhaust part for a citroen c8 in your model year and they will list the build number/rp number this is applicable to(ensure you have the correct engine size i.e 2.2 diesel).

Hope this helps

Try putting the following into google "exhaust for 2004 citroen c8 rp no" substitute the model year for the one you require, it comes up with a few results which should contain the rp no range you are looking for. My example above came up with "Parts UK CITROEN C8 2.2HDi Exhaust Rubber Mounting - Hanger ... RP No.09801-10247 09/2003-11/2004 CITROEN C8 2.2HDi DPF Cat Turbo" so I would enter 10247.

Hope this helps

...and 10247 came up for me, too. That wasn't what I remember entering last night in PP2000. But by the time I'd got Lexia 3 and PP2000 working I was to say the least mentally drained...

Any number between 09801-10247 should work in Lexia or Planet, if it won't talk to all the modules on your car just try working up the range till it does i.e. 09801 - 10001 - 10101 - 10247 and eventually you should find the right configuration for your vehicle.

No it is a lot of codes, however you only need to use one on an ongoing basis.
I use 10247 which represents a "2004 C8 2.2" using this build code in Lexia allows me to communicate to all the modules fitted to my 2004 2.2jtd Ulysse (airbag, climate control, engine, fuel additive, injection etc) having told lexia my car is a C8. Can also view live data and test actuators so pretty much everything a dealer could do if I had all there knowledge of how to use it.
You would need to find the correct code for your vehicle.

Is this the immobiliser code?

Can be obtained from Fiat for about £15 +VAT (y)
My local dealer supplied the immobiliser code for free today :) But they are contacting Italy for the vehicle PIN, which will cost about £40. Thing is I need it in case of matching components via Lexia... so have to bite the bullet.

Come again? What's this PIN they talk of, what's it for
