My old uncle has a Punto MkI which has a persistent slow leak from one of the wheels. The tyre fitters reckon the rim is corroded and can't do much about it.
I've had a look for a seconda-mano wheel but they're rather scarce now.
He has 4.5 x13" ET35.
If it was me, I'd stick a set of 18" alloys on it.... but my uncle is just a regular old bloke who wants a cheap and basic fix.
So... what other Fiat steel wheels would fit the Punto?
I tried Panda but that's a 5.0 x 13" (so I'd need two and then educate the old boy to keep them on the same axle etc.)
The nearest I can find is some space-saver spares that seem to be the exact size .. but they're usually orange (which won't tickle uncle's fancy) and some have a plate on the back, to give the correct offset (where the wheel replaces an alloy wheel etc.).
I'm also not sure if a space-saver has the same bead profile as the regular 155/70x13 tyre (not sure why it should.. but it might).
So overall, a space-saver "spare" wheel, but re-fitted with a regular tyre is probably a non-starter. Any other 4.5 x 13 ET35 out there?
