I have a 1986 Fiat Panda Sisley. I had the gearbox rebuilt a couple of years ago by a firm in Coventry. I've finally got around to putting the car back together, but when i attempted to fit the half shaft on the passengers side there is no recess for the gaiter retainer / Bearing cover and shims. I have checked the original photograph and there is a definite recess on the original pictures. I came to the conclusion that the new differential bearing must be the wrong one, and it certainly does look very different to the photo of the original. I have researched the part number of the original Fiat bearing and came up with; Fiat 884202, further research revealed that the equivalent OEM bearing is SKF 639068. To my surprise that is the one that was fitting during the rebuild. I am now at a loss!
