Evening.

My teenage daughter just picked up a lovely wee Fiat 500 Hybrid in Dew Green this afternoon.

We have noticed that both rear seatbelt warning lights and warning noise are on even when there is absolutely nothing or nobody in the back seat.

The lights / sound goes off only when the belts are clipped in.

Is this normal or likely a faulty pressure sensor?

I have never seen a car where you need to buckle the seat belts even if the backseat is unused.

I tried Google and YouTube but can't see anything.

Thanks

How old is it? might be still under warranty

Call the dealer and ask. Ive not seen this but It sounds wrong. Seats usually have an occupancy sensor to stop this. Rear seats have never done this in any of my Fiats. Dash lights are sketchy and indicatethe belts done up. An undone belt is usually a red light and buzzer in the front only in my Panda.

Another Arnold Clark PDI??

I would think that the seats sensors are designed to trigger the alert if they sense a load without the buckles done up! if there is no load on any of the unoccupied seats then i would say its unlikely that they are designed to raise an alert under that situation !.
Get back in touch with the dealer!.
? did you not test drive one before purchase surely you would have noticed it then!.

It is faulty and should not be altering seat belts if no one in seats
