Hello everyone,
I am still new to this forum and have found it to be very helpful. I have a question about my leaf springs on my Fiat Ducato 2.3 multijet .3.5t Luton on a platform chassis. It is a 2018 model.
I have posted a few pics of the leaf springs and wonder what the opinions are on “Is it time to replace the the dampers”. They seem to be worn out on one side. They are metal and wonder if i should replace with rubber ones.
I think the springs are making a clunking noise whilst i am driving. No rhyme or reason when it happens but every couple of minutes, on any type of road be it flat, going down or uphill.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thank you

Are the rubber spring assistors knackered ( routinely missnamed bumpstops) the 4" orange/ yellow things. If loaded they could be thumping too often.
i cant comment on the springs in your photos.
Totally agree.
The OP question is the dampers and posted pics of selective bits of springs.
Back to the OP!
Maybe asking the question means you need more research about the springs.
If any help the bits of springs photos don't indicate an issue. Mileage, use, ownership and weight loading could be a start.
