Looks like it's got a fuse behind the plug, that's where I'd start.

Ohhh, damn, never saw that before. I'm normally in the footwell and the plus is in line of sight, I took the photo while sitting on the seat!

I bought the car not knowing it had full airbag (dash, b pillar and seats), plus digital heating (with perhaps aircon?), plus electric mirrors.

It also had a multi disc cd player in the glovebox, which I removed as it took up the whole glovebox!

I had not noticed as the wasn't a fuse.
I added a fuse and there is barely any sound, mostly mild crackles. Maybe the speaker is blown. I'll remove it and take a closer look at the speaker driver itself...

Seems I might need to take the seat out!
