The sticker with the PN you gave says also punto II HGT.

The forum's ePERonline is not listing the models in which the given part was used

Can you share the photo of the gear lever?

I've checked on the Polish equivalent of ebay:

The punto mk1 didn't have a plastic housing such as on the photos from the Czech shop above.

There are lots of punto II housings available in Poland here:

Double check in ePER with your VIN number to be sure which one do you need.

Looking at the photos, the mk1 has a metal bracket, the mk2 has a plastic one. Both can disintegrate But for different reasons.

You are absolutley correct! I obviously had a brainfart while writing this ad. Its an punto 188 mk2 model year 2001.

Ive tried googling for the partnr and found 2 listings from a hungarian site i think it was but nothing else.

ive had some time to dismantle the car this week to try to find a OEM parts nr for the gear lever housing and i did find a well worn sticker on the yellow plastic gear lever housing and on it i can read 4 lines of text:

144 SILA 009
a Barcode with the number 0735276985
HGT 1.8 "S" 5M PELLE
27/LUC/00 06:09

the last line is very difficult to make out so that might be wrongly interpreted.

The last line is the production date / time:

27 / LUG / 00 06:09,

which means July 27th, 2000. 06h09
