Styling electric windows/central locking on mk1

i wanna get central locking and electric windows atleast for front doors

what would be easier and/or cheaper, geting whole car doors which already have electric windows and central locking or geting motors, and central locking kit for them and puting it inside of doors

Either way is possible, getting doors would be easier.

BUT (and it's a big but) check that the rest of the harness is actually there, in the car -- there doesn't seem to be any fixed pattern for this -- or you've quite a lot of re-wiring to do.

From experience,

Your best bet is to go down your local breakers yard and either remove the entire doors or if more cost effective all the motors, mechanisms and looms you need.

You need to look for SX, ELX, Selecta, Sporting or GT models ideally.

that wiring would need to include that light switch on the doors too, omg too much work and its snowing
